Regulatory Enforcement and Compliance Data
Draft Preliminary Plan for Implementation of the President's Memorandum dated January 18, 2011
The Department has prepared its draft preliminary plan for its publicly posting its
"Regulatory Enforcement and Compliance Data"
in response to the President's
memorandum of January 18, 2011, and made it available at this website, at regulations.gov,
and at DOT.gov/open. The plan explains what we are doing to make our compliance and enforcement data publicly
accessible, downloadable, and searchable online; it also includes links to the data we currently post online.
We encourage the public to submit comments on this draft preliminary plan. You should submit your comments to the
docket set up for public comments, DOT-OST-2011-0104, at regulations.gov,
or via IdeaScale by July 3, 2011.
We expect to post a final plan on this webpage after we review the public comments, make appropriate changes,
and complete interagency coordination. We also intend to periodically update the information in the charts about
the various data sets, including providing any links to new data sets available on-line, so that the charts can be a
valuable research tool.
